Title: Online Poker Post by: hansgruber on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 16:58:53 Does anyone play? I enjoy rinsing the Americans on Pacific Poker (about £400 up overall). Where are the richest pickings do you think?
Title: Online Poker Post by: Man of Steel on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:13:43 Pacific is far and away where the play is most loose imao.
Partypoker is also pretty poor also and is frankly a pain in the arse due to the 10 person tables and loads of beginners. I play at Absolute Poker now, as the standard is much higher and i prefer the small size of the poker room. Although now there is about 5,000-10,000 players on there at any one time. You won't rinse as many on there as you will on pacific though. Title: Online Poker Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:16:03 This pacific poker sounds great, I'll give it a try.
Title: Online Poker Post by: hansgruber on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:21:20 just play the high cards and you'll be fine. I don't do anything tricky cos you can't really bluff online.
Title: Online Poker Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:24:24 Do you have to play with real money only or can you just practice for a bit first without depositing any money?
Title: Online Poker Post by: hansgruber on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:25:53 you can practice a bit first, but I wouldn't bother too much with that if you know how to play... people don't play properly and will call all the way to the river even if they've got a big bag of biscuits!
Title: Online Poker Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 17:29:40 Right I'll practice for a bit then and then go and rinse it out propa!

Title: Online Poker Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:21:29 Play Texas hold em probably £400 from a fiver is my best haul.
Got a nifty little program that sits on top of the bookies poker rooms that calculates percentages and gives you an indication of how much to bet etc. Not a failsafe but a great indicator. Both housemates are online and we are planning a triple swoop some time soon. Title: Online Poker Post by: hansgruber on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:23:39 what's the program called dazza?

Title: Online Poker Post by: swindonbob on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:26:16 Where do you get that percentage bit of software from?
Title: Online Poker Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:29:47 Texas Calculatem
You get a free trial but the crack is easy enough to find. Title: Online Poker Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:36:18 Best way to make a bit of cash is to get ideally 3 mates all on a medium sized 5/6 person table.
MSN up or conference call each other. Takes a bit of practice but agree to pool the total pot then you can drive hands up and generally work it that percentage wise one of you should win. Not a fail safe but with a bit of work and attention to other players betting trends you can make a mint on a decent table. Title: Online Poker Post by: swindonbob on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:46:10 whats the best englsih money table? i just played pacific poker.com and it was all dollars and shit
Title: Online Poker Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 18:49:12 Think most of them play with dollars.
Ladbrokes will give you a decent exchange rate. Title: Online Poker Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 19:13:10 Rinsed it out and won $10000 on poker room, might try with real money now.
Title: Online Poker Post by: timmyg on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 19:20:23 Sounds like witchcraft to me. Doesn't that mean that it's basically your computer playing? Or do you sometimes over-ride the decision and win REAL big?
Title: Online Poker Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 19:26:34 All it really is at heart is an odds calculator that works out the percentages of you having a decent hand against how much you have in the pot. It then gives you an indicator on if you should bet or not.
Some of them even study other player's betting patterns. Most serious players have the knack anyway but if your'e just starting out it's a handy indicator. You still do all the betting mind. Seriously mate, don't try real money just yet, you wil get eaten alive. Go to http://www.absolutepoker.com Download their software and play their single table touurnaments for demo money. Tourneys are the most realistic of demo play, and probably the best way to learn and get a more realistic feel for the game. Absolute also have freerolls which you can enter and win real money. A mate of mine has got over $50 real dollars from placing high in a freeroll then playing $0.50 tourneys. |
