Title: Southampton vs Man United (15th May)
Post by: hansgruber on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 16:46:35
Does anyone out there know where I can get some reasonably priced tickets for this game? It's my Dad's birthday on the 14th (and mine too!) so was hoping to take him down there for the big relegation battle. But it's sold out, and ripoff places on th'internet that I've found want £200 a ticket + VAT!

Its one hell of a game mate. Saints have been top flight for 26 odd years, could be the end of a long long run.

Add to that its Man United. Too late im affraid, going to be a ton plus.

I might be down there though (sans ticket). I know a few Southampton.

I was down there on Saturday for the 4-3. Awful quality football but one hell of a game. Shame there weren't a few more tasty tackles flying in though

Sounded like a decent atmosphere. I got down there a couple of times in the first season at St Marys (usually midweek, never missed Swindon). The end behind the goal (northam?) was always all stood up and created a great atmosphere.

I dont really have any feelings for Southampton, but I dont want them to go down. They have more to loose than the others and yet they are least deserving in some ways, all three other clubs have shown more spirit.

The new stadium works wonders in the premiership, but they will soon wish they were back at the Dell in div 1.

We were in the Northam (also ?) stand on Saturday and it was brilliant. Too many kids for my liking, so I felt a bit guilty when I unleashed a volley of abuse at Higginbotham, but overall it was great.

Shame they don't have as many songs as us though. If I hear when the Saints go marching in one more time..

If you're from Salisbury(as I am originally) and a Town fan, I find it hard to believe you cannot express anything other than utter disdain for Soton. When I think of the merciless taunting I used to suffer at school....

I didn't say I supported them. I'm in the Palace end on Saturday hopefully to see Dowie's boys stay up.

I always want the side that's "Too big to go down" to be relegated. I work for Friends Provident though so I should probably cheer them on
