Post by: larwood on Friday, June 27, 2008, 19:38:17
Can we draw level in the series? Will Kp be a good skipper? Will it rain all day?Can our players try and win a game without resorting to cheating? Will i be able to resist eating all the hob nobs before lunch?

The questions are endless and will all be answered at Lords tomorrow :D

KP's England. It has a nice ring to it.

What I would be interested in seeing them do is turning the batting order upside down. So the tailenders can see off the new ball, and then yer Shah's, Wright's, KP's and Dimi's can come in at the end and smash it around.

Jimmy A's effort ball just broke McCullum's bat. Boom.

I don't know teams do not do that in ODIs tbh.

What I also like to ponder is what kind of side would non-cricketing countries put out.

For example, would an Italian side be very defensive?

Would a Brazilian side be very attacking?

Tim Ambrose .. why is he even playing for England?? Cant catch and cant bat!

Prior and Mustard werent great either .. anyone got any wicket keepers that would like to suggest?

Prior can bat, he just isn't a top notch keeper.

Chris Read can keep, he just isn't a top notch batsman.

Ambrose is a half way house. Although doing neither very well at the moment.

 We'll get mullered.

Incidentally the Somerset keeper Craig Kieswetter is the kiddy. Unfortunately don't think he qualifies fro a while yet.

Another Seth Ethrikan Kieswetter. Did anyone realise Mushtaq Ahmed is now qualified to play for England? He won't, but thats crazy.

I know, but if he's qualified and good we should pick him.  Saqlain Mustaq is also now England qualified.

We've a long history of playing ringers, dating back at least to Ranjitsinjhi and Duleepsinjhi

Absolutely, but with the increase in Kolpak numbers in the County Game, couldn't they well make up the majority of the national team in a few years time.

mushie hasn't got british citizenship so isn't qualified - he is sussex's overseas player

saqlain mushtaq, on the other hand, is qualified and has said he wants to play despite 400 plus wickets for pakistan
