Title: PC Help.
Post by: herthab on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, 05:35:03
My laptop is sluggish and won't perform certain tasks.

I'm getting a message to free up space on my C drive, but I'm worried that due to my all round ignorance of all things technical, I'll fuck it up.

Any tips?

Go to start-->control panel-->add or remove programmes and uninstall any programmes that you don't use.

The go to my computer and right click on c: and go to properties, and then select disk clean up.

You should also try defragmenting your drive by going to c: (Right click)-->properties-->tools-->defragment now.

Do that and you should be sorted.

Even me, with my extremely limited knowledge of anything with a plug, know that you're trying to steer me down a very dangerous path Paul.

Thanks to all for your suggestions (Apart from Paul)

I've installed it and noticed no difference at all!  8)

Might be because i slipstreamed it into a Windows volume licence editon and reinstalled from scratch, but hey ho.
