I am interested in hearing from anybody who has either been adopted as a child themselves, or more importantly anyone who is already an adoptive parent (or going through the process). I'd wager your experience will differ from theirs, as my parents have been fostering nigh on 20 years now and the lad they are adopting has lived with us for the last 2 and a half years. But if you think it'd be useful then I'll have a word with my mum. Feel free to PM me.
