Oh, and ofcourse there'd be 12 weeks holiday a year  :D

You might find that salary is pro rata though, so if you have your 12 weeks holiday you will be paid considerably less.

www.jobserve.co.uk, look at contract jobs and blag your way in!

I don't think you'll get the 12 weeks holiday. If you look at the other positions it says pro-rata and 'term-time' instead of full-time.

Cheers Jimbo, but the salary would be a bit too low for me when taking the travelling costs into account.

Not for a first job in IT with no experience though.

Hell yes, for a first IT job you do not want to be going into a school, you want to be going into an office where you are likely to learn and gain experience from the more experienced techies, and they are prepared to send you on courses to help you learn.

Excuse me ptop. My school here wil lend me on courses. Anyone that does apply for that job would enjoy it and beleive you me the benefits are ace. And my junior learns hell of a lot of me.

Who says you wouldn't learn in a school based techie role? Anyway, the way I see it is they're offering a fairly good salary without the applicant needing specific experience or qualifications. For a similar salary in an 'office' based role I'd bet you'd need a minimum of 12 months experience and all sorts of specific qualifications.

Beggars can't be choosers Chubbs, if it's going to get you out of a job you dislike into one with opportunities then surely it's worth a sniff.

Depends what your future prospects are going to be. I've only just got myself onto average graduate salary and I graduated 2 years ago. However, by the time I qualify (if I ever do) I will be earning more than double what I started on.

yes that it true, but i dont think i'd be able to cope with anything remotley less than what im on, obviously if they said we'll start you on 15,000 and after a year it wil be 30,000 then yes' id jump at that offer.

If you're earning good money now then I wouldn't moan too much mate. Some people are stuck in what they would consider dead end jobs and earning minimum wage.
