On a separate track I'd like to re-raise the Adam/Frankenstein controversy from earlier in the thread. Surely Si Pie is right - the monster's not saying "Your Adam"  meaning that his name is Adam, but drawing a comparison to himself (and his creation) with Adam of Adam'n'Eve fame. It's a literary device, dontcha know. I had that Brian Sewell in the back of me cab once

Aye 'me ducks' is a Yorkshire thing. I used to get called it all the time in Sheffield. Going to Barnsley and getting called 'me cock' was slightly more traumatic.

But then going to Barnsley is generally a bit traumatic anyway.
