Post by: Sippo on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 22:08:56
Would anyone like to buy my car? pug 206 2.0l d-turbo, 52k, full peugeot service history, 2002, full leather interior, air con, automatic lights and windscreen wipers.

Ideally wanting £4000 including numberplate. Will post pictures later in the week if anyone is interested.

I like Dave too. He reminds me of a younger me. I want to take him out on the lash. So he can buy me some pints whilst I guide him in the ways of being a proper drunk.

Yeah, you don't want to curse the poor lad. I wouldn't encourage my current lifestyle as healthy.

make sure all the bits have been done on the RX-8 (oil cooler lines, anti-roll bar linkages, alloy wheel corrosion, dipstick anti-froth thing, engine management maps, maybe rear plugs and probably more I've forgotten)
Luvverly to drive and very good on fuel (average 22 mpg for the 230)

Most of those problems should be sorted especially if i get from a reputable dealer?

I know the fuel economy is awful as is the tax band but if you want a nice car I guess you pay it!

22mpg is not bad for a 1300 twin rotary - equivalent to a 3.5 litre v6. You could probably squeeze 25 out of it on a motorway run, the oil is about 1/2 litre per 1000 miles.
Try and get the leather seats (cos they are electric and heated) and no the problems might not be sorted - some are on recall and some are only under warranty on request. The RX8club site is the best for rotonerds. My engine replacement was on warranty (about 5 grand).
Got a Volvo now and that's a pile of shite (cos it's a Ford - I know) but that's 25mpg woohoo!

Oh, I hadn't realised that engine was so large. My 3.2 litre V6 does almost 30 mpg driving conservatively I think.

If someone offered me that I'd be happy.

But it is a higher spec than the standard version.

I think with the car you've got you need to be hoping that there's someone out there looking for that exact model, so it could take a while to sell it. I don't think it's the kind of car that someone would just flick through the trade-it can think "yeah, I fancy having a look at that" like you would with your Focus', Vectra's etc.

I put mine up in the trade-it last year (Pug 307 2.0 HDi D-Turbo) and had no interest whatsoever in about 6 weeks.
