Having not been able to drive I have lost touch with places like this that are recommended Any ideas would be welcomed Love Fred xx Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: Ralphy on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 13:04:42 How far do you want to travel?
There are some lovely places around here in the cotswolds. Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: strooood on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 13:07:14 calley arms, en route to chiseldon.
go through wroughton(if you're oming from swindon, go straight over at the 3 tuns roundabout), up the hill and round the corner then take the left signposted chiseldon, keep going for a couple of kms, and take a left, kid friendly, stop doing munch at around half 2 i think, but do some lovely food aswell as usual sarnies and burgers... reasonably priced too. if not, definetely 3 crowns in brinkworth, more pricey at lunch but quality. Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 13:11:36 Happy Eater.
Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: Arriba on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 13:12:36 the swan at radcot.
Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: sonic youth on Saturday, May 24, 2008, 14:04:05 the swan is very overpriced though, nice place nevertheless.

I know Jenna's probably a bit old for that but you don't get much more kid-friendly do you now? There's a great little pub in a place called Foxham, on the back roads near Lyneham. It's called the Foxham Inn. A relly nice little village and as I say its on the back roads so if you fancy a walk afterwards it is ideal Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, 18:41:21 Quote from: "reeves4england" A bit late to be helpful now, but for future reference... Another regular was the Dumb Post at Bremhill....it was still there a couple of years ago when I was out that way. Going east, a gem was the Pound at Goosey....marvellous place, I was  to find it had closed when I pedalled out there a while back. Title: Country Pub Lunches Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 07:24:20 Heart in Hand in Blunsdon is a nice little boozer and the food is nice too.
