Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 21:41:28 or not, but I'm bored of typing LNT.
I'm browsing the internet looking for art, I want a new picture in my living room. Anyone know any good sites? Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: DV on Friday, May 23, 2008, 21:44:09 no.

Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, May 23, 2008, 21:59:25 Browse posters and photos on eBay then get it framed. I did that and was quite pleased with the result, although custom framing does sting a bit after spending a fiver on a poster or photo.
Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:00:29 I've been through 60 of 95 pages of eBay contemporary art. most of it is shite.
Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:02:01 this is cheesey but i love it:

Probably different for me, but i get off on architecture, so i bought city scapes, skylines and stuff and that. Got some old early 1900's photos of London, Paris and Vienna as well. They're pretty badass and only cost about £5 or something. Oh, and i got a panoramic photo of some graffiti in some industrial estate in Paris. That, i like to imagine, was just taken by some "random" bohemian type, who sold his photos and you could even pick your size. I've got a small one. Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: magic8ball on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:11:47 Not exactly what you're looking for, but there are some nice bits and pieces here (http://www.suck.uk.com/)

Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:23:43 I quite like that Sam, it appeals to my homosexual-esq, flowery shirt wearing edge.
Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: flammableBen on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:32:29 Modern arty stuff is harder than it looks. Well sort of. I managed to come up with this in 2 minutes.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d35/flammableben/mart.gif I was going for the black on white contrast with both forming seperate images. Actually that's bollocks, I just drew shapes. Like dancing but on a digital canvas. I think my ability in either medium is fairly similar. It looks a bit like a flag gone wrong. Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:38:11 I'd buy it.
In another life. Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: flammableBen on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:39:06 If I keep trying I'll create something ace. Like monkeys with typewriters or something.
Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:40:12 have you got an infinite amount of monkeys and typewriters?

I'm not sure about infinite monkeys but I've got lots of free time. Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:44:53 Well if it takes 42,162,500,000 billion billion years to get a 19 character sequence from The Two Gentlemen of Verona, I'm sure it'll only take Ben a couple of billion years to come up with a masterpiece.
Title: All Revved up and no place to go Post by: axs on Friday, May 23, 2008, 22:53:33 yes, but the monkeys didn't have paintpro.

My thought of the day. It's what's considered different and special. Back when in the olden type days, when people didn't have all they can eat buffets, only the rich could have afforded to be a bit on the porky side. Whilst your average working peasant girl would have been skinnier than a rake. It's the same with sun tans. Pale girls used to be considered attractive because a tan showed that you'd probably been working outside all day, maybe on the fields. That be peasant work. Lazy peasants Something like that anyway. There's a good chance that's some bollocks someone told me in a pub.
