Title: Newquay Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Monday, May 12, 2008, 20:50:46 Company I work for runs the Sailors Arms, Newquay Arms and Red Lion. Ralphy PM me with your mobile number and I can see if I can get some deal to get you guys in the Sailors Night club FOC and queue jump, or at least get a few in FOC.! I control their stock so they better
Their website http://www.sailorsnightclub.com/ or http://www.the1440.co.uk/Venue/SailorsArms-Newquay.aspx SAILORS ARMS REVIEW: "Sailors Night Club is one of Newquay's most popular venues, Sailors is a serious force to be reckoned with in the Newquay club scene, next door to a pub of the same name, it has a large capacity, plenty of bars, large dance floor on the lower level, more bars and a smaller dance floor on the upper level." Not being Biased by the sailors arms is the biggest and most popular club in Newquay followed by. Another good site for Newquay pubs is this... http://www.newquaynet.com/newquay_night_clubs.htm Title: Re: Newquay Post by: ronnie21 on Monday, May 12, 2008, 20:54:09 Quote from: "Ralphy" This friday 14 lads will descend on Newquay for a stag weekend :beers: 14 guys on a stag weekend in Newquay and you want to know the best places to drink. Any info would be gratefully received. Title: Newquay Post by: DV on Monday, May 12, 2008, 20:55:09 I went years ago and they were all super over priced and lash_summin fell asleep in one of the club, which all a bit drunk we found hilariously funny at the time.
Title: Newquay Post by: Bushey Boy on Monday, May 12, 2008, 21:00:53 I cant wait for teh stories, did you speak to my mate Ralph?
Title: Newquay Post by: RobertT on Monday, May 12, 2008, 21:01:46 Sailors has a nice beer garden/decked area out back with fantastic views of the sea. Inside the bar it's basic cheese so I;d stay outside. You'll no doubt end up in The Central, which does what it says on the tin. Find that place and you've found Newquays bottom of Swindon area pretty much. It'll be crammed with stag and hen do's so it won't take long to figure out where to go.
Title: Newquay Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, May 12, 2008, 21:02:47 I seem to remember reading somewhere that Newquay has the highest blokes to women ratio in the UK. Don't forget your KY Ralphy.
Title: Newquay Post by: Fred Elliot on Monday, May 12, 2008, 21:04:59 Why do you think they are all of there on some sort of Village People stag do/bum fest kind of weekend ?

The club hosts Hed Kandi etc... Location? It's not really Brighton or even Bournemouth for that matter. The place has great scenery but seemed completely overun by stag and hen parties (hence my own visit). It's why I quite liked the decked area at Sailors, much quieter feel, but I'm getting old now and like to hear people talking to me. As Gazza mentions, the split between the pub and club at Sailors is quite marked. Title: Newquay Post by: Fred Elliot on Monday, May 12, 2008, 21:30:10 I agree Rob
but THIS IS Ralpy's lot we are talking about here Title: Newquay Post by: tans on Monday, May 12, 2008, 22:02:10 I cant go

Title: Newquay Post by: DMR on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 11:38:07 We went to Newquay a couple of times when we did the lads holiday to Polzeath a few years back we ended up in Barracuda, just like every other Barracuda really, cheapish, massive, full of people and decent tunes.

Title: Newquay Post by: DMR on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 12:24:23 Carters and Doom Bar = 8)
Where abouts did you stay OF? I remember our lot gettiung mega complaints every morning in the Oystercatcher, good times. Title: Newquay Post by: oxford_fan on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 12:55:51 carters is pretty good, its the red stripe on draught which does it though.
my mates parents bought a run down old bungalow a few seconds round the corner from the doom bar, so we've been staying there lately. they want to demolish it but planning permission was rejected at the first stage, unsurprisingly, as he wanted to build a 3 storey glass thing which isn't really the norm in cornwall. i'm quite happy for it to stay as a manky bungalow where we can go without fear of making a mess or damaging expensive stuff. have also stayed at robbie loves a few times including one whole summer down there in a tent. I worked at Ann's Cottage (the big surf shop right at the head of the beach) which was a right laugh. wouldn't do it again but at the time it was perfect. Title: Newquay Post by: oxford_fan on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 15:56:37 i think they were all booked up when we tried to stay at the oyster catcher, what was it like? expensive?
Title: Newquay Post by: DMR on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, 09:16:07 Quote from: "oxford_fan" i think they were all booked up when we tried to stay at the oyster catcher, what was it like? expensive? think we paid about 70-80 quid a head, for a week (8 of us) so yeah pretty reasonable. quality apartment, big kitchen, fire escape stairs made for a good balcony although as you'd expect we only really slept there and were out most of the time. the only drawback being walking up that cunting hill when you were smashed!! Title: Newquay Post by: Ralphy on Thursday, May 15, 2008, 16:00:08 Just finished packing. :beers:
