Title: Hay Fever
Post by: dell boy on Monday, May 12, 2008, 18:14:41
Is anyone else suffering?
My eyes are streaming, especially in the morning ....

But the worse thing - if you drink alcohol it gets worse!!!!

I have hay-fever, although being slap bang in the middle of a big city means that it doesn't affect me.

Flixonase is a wonder drug.  I swear by it now.

Otherwise, the best advice I can give to sufferers is move to Scotland (or, at least, take a holiday there in May/June).  My symptoms simply disappear when I'm there.  Maybe coniferous plants produce friendlier pollen?  And very noticeably, there are very few TV adverts up there for hay fever treatments (where as here, every third advert seems to be for a hay fever drug).

Doesn't it have to be un-super treated honey or something?

Find a bee's nest and much on it. Bees, honey, honeycomb, everything. You'll have to find one though. Bees have disappeared.

Local honeyis made with local pollen, ergo you build up an immunity. Or something.

I get hay fever but I'd rather suffer than visit Scotland. That really is an extreme solution. Hadrian was a visionary he just didn't build it high enough.

Can't breathe and I feel so tired all the time.
