It does my head in when people call their pets "Fluffy" or "Rover" and stuff like that.

The nest one that I know of was my Nan's tortoise yonks ago, he was called Woodbine cos' he'd make a good ashtray when he died. Shame he got knicked.

If I ever have another pet it's going to be called Jedi.

My dog is called Reginald.

Get a female Chinese Shar-Pei. Mine (Her name was Wordsworth, which morphed into Wepword cos' Thai's can't pronounce Wordsworth), was the best dog that I have ever known.

Probably a Cobra yeah, we where living on the outskirts at the time where Cobra's and poisonous/dangerous animals are two a penny.

People tend to be OK cos' we keep clear (Or kill them), whereas dogs and cats think of them as a play toy.

They don't realise that poisonous reptiles are not that friendly.

Have you ever had a dangerous snake encounter?

I think i'd shit a brick.

I've had an undangerous snake encounter. working on a fruit farm in australia. the kid whose dad owned the place just hit it with a rake and killed it.

I don't really get the whole pet thing and how people get so attached to them. They always seem a bit pointless. I suppose if there was a sudden food crisis then there might be some good eating on Rover.

I just got some fish again. they're ace.

Loads, although not really dangerous encounters despite the snakes being venomous cos' they just run (Slither) away. You'd have to deliberately piss off most snakes for them to bite you.

I stayed at a golf course hotel for 6 months and I'd see a cobra at least twice a week, along with other mental stuff.

And whilst driving home once, I had to stop in the street (In Bangkok) cos' a 10 foot plus python was crossing the road, he was in no hurry either. And big ass (6ft+ plus) monitor lizards are common in not too built up areas out here.

My scariest encounter was with a giant centipede, I think that I have posted that already.

My cousins got a cat called ichabod, and a dog called steve  8)

Should we get a dog, it'll be called Hank Muppett.

I have three cats; Incey (I blame Paul Ince), Kayto (my sister named him) and Jooles.

The stray cat that moved into our house when we fed it , and then ran away when I tried to take him to the vet never to be seen again, was called Jones, although he was ginger rather than a tabby like his film character namesake.

Actually Arriba, Reginald...or Reggie as we call him normally....was actually a rescue dog, he was 4 months old when we got him and he didnt answer to his name "Jack" so we changed it, Reggie...was the only name he actually answered to :)

My cats called My Bojangles, kinda a fruitloop of a cat which could be explained by him liking the tray my old house mate used to use for drug taking

My lads rabbit is called Mason, after Paul Mason wine. He could fit in a wine glass when we got him, the wine being drunk was.....

Actualy that's a shit name, not a cool name. But there isn't a 'shit pet names' thread.
