Title: Guinness Post by: BANGKOK RED on Friday, April 25, 2008, 15:37:07 Well it's just ace innit.
And I heard an interesting story today, in that should there be a water shortage in Ireland then the Guinness brewery get first priority to whatever water is available. I can't find anything on google that either proves nor disproves what I have been told. But if true then how coolishly mental is that? Title: Guinness Post by: flammableBen on Friday, April 25, 2008, 15:42:22 I think it's disgusting how can you drink it?
Title: Guinness Post by: janaage on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:03:37 I love Guinness, best drink out there, ideal if you don;t have a chance to grab a bite to eat, a drink and a meal in one, perfect.
Title: Guinness Post by: axs on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:05:09 c'est la reason d'etre.
Title: Guinness Post by: Reg Smeeton on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:08:25 Guiness is OK....but lacks the variety of proper English Ale....or even Brains.
Title: Guinness Post by: janaage on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:12:19 Spitfire's a nice replacement, or Tanglefoot if at a party, unfortunately my local does 3b's and 2b's only on the bitter front, so it means I have no choice.
Title: Guinness Post by: A Gent Orange on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:13:45 Yeah its okay but nowhere near as nice as a pint of proper stout.
It's also incredibly expensive. Title: Guinness Post by: BANGKOK RED on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:21:59 Could somebody please confirm or deny whether or not the water shortage thing is true?
Title: Guinness Post by: janaage on Friday, April 25, 2008, 16:29:59 Yes somebody probably could confirm whether it's true or not.

Title: Guinness Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:14:26 Guinness is horrible. I heard that a pint of guinnes has the same calories as a roast dinner. That can't be right can it?
Title: Guinness Post by: tans on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:25:05 More than likely Dave, good for iron too..
Title: Guinness Post by: lebowski on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:26:50 No it's not right, a few roast potatoes would have more calories than a pint of Guinness does.
And then you'd have to have gravy too, obv. Title: Guinness Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:30:42 Thats just wrong. Give me a frisky Bison anyday of the week :gay:
Title: Guinness Post by: Ralphy on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:34:33 About 400 calories in a pint of Guinness.
Title: Guinness Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:36:36 Ah, seems im misinformed. I knew it!
Title: Guinness Post by: lebowski on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:37:36 Nah, it's only about 200 calories per pint, just like any other beer or lager.
Title: Guinness Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, April 25, 2008, 20:38:36 Quote from: "Ralphy" About 400 calories in a pint of Guinness. Did you make that up Ralphy? :D Title: Guinness Post by: axs on Friday, April 25, 2008, 23:32:26 it would explain my beer gut.
Title: Guinness Post by: McLovin on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 11:26:13 a pint of guinness has less calories than a pint of milk... the calorie thing is a myth.
Title: Guinness Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 12:03:44 I also used to find it a heavy drink, but it's easier to drink than a pint of gassy lager.
Title: Guinness Post by: Sippo on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 18:01:15 After 10 pints in definately sorts ye olde bowels out!

The hefty quantity of Carling provided the only case of skull attack. |
