Title: Roast Beef Post by: ronnie21 on Monday, April 21, 2008, 07:19:01 Yesterday our Sunday roast consisted of a piece of beef that would have been better classed as shoe leather. I know it came from a supermarket but it was awful. We have now decided that the time has come to find a real butcher who can supply us with decent joints of meat. Question is where? Anybody got any recommendations?

We don't eat a lot of meat at home, but always get the Sunday joint from the local butcher. A little more expensive, but worth every penny. Good luck with your search.

In Cricklade there are two, one always seems empty and one is usually very busy. Why the difference? Anybody know? Prefer to get a good butcher in Swindon though!
