I just ran over my own big toe with the wheels on my chair I was sat on.

I'm not in horrendous amount of pain.

Someone make the pain go away.

It's numbing up now. That's going to be black tomorrow.

I've given up on that. One of my mates said he'd post be some free drugs but I think he was a bit off his head at the time.

Think I'll try and get to the post before my mum does tomorrow just in case.

Over 3 weeks later, and although the toe was just a bit bruised, some of the bottom of my nail is still black. Doesn't hurt or anything but I'm a bit worried there's been some horrible build up of mouldy blood somewhere which is going to result in amputation.

Actually I'm note really worried at all. I'm sure it will all be good.

Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago. My toe got stood on playing rugby and went all black and horrible, and it was still like that 3 months later. I just ripped the toe-nail off and it all went away, and their was a semi-new nail growing underneath anyway. Just too let you aware, i share your pain.

It doesn't hurt at all. That's why I'm guessing it's just some leaked blood or something stuck underneath.

It not the whole nail either, just about half of where the base of the nail connects to the skin.

I ain't ripping off no nail, that sounds like pain. Not unless I've taken some fairly heavy druggage first.

It didn't hurt me when i did it. I think it's because the outermost nail had just sort of died a little.

its just the cells and damaged shit degrading, bit like a bruise, it all gets broken down by your body and recycled. can take a while if its trapped around and below nails because the lymphocytes and macrophages can't get at it.

See, it's not major. And doesn't hurt, just that bottom right bit has been that colour for over 3 weeks now which can't be good. I'm sure it'll be ok though, I'm not registered with a doctor anyway. Guaranteed way to make sure you never find out about something wrong with you.
