Title: A man of leisure.
Post by: BANGKOK RED on Thursday, March 20, 2008, 20:46:02
I got the sack today.

Actually I am not entirely sure really if it was

A) My boss managed to sack me before I told him to stick, or
B) I managed to tell my boss to stick it before he sacked me.

I like to that that it was B but things where rather heated at the and so I am still not sure. Either way it has been on the cards for some time, I think that the catalyst may have been my attitude when I was told that I was not being paid over the Easter break.

It's something that I have been subconsciously hoping for really as it was all getting too much (As I have mentioned on another thread(s)).

The financial impact is obviously a concern, although not drastic. And it is like a red hot poker up the brown hole which is a good thing really. (Metaphorically speaking of course)

I actually feel very relieved.

When I quit / got sacked I had an ace time for a few months. It gets less fun when the beer tokens run out.

Good luck dude. Hopefully in a month or two you'll be in a new job thinking you should have quit the old one a long time ago.
