Title: Help with Photos
Post by: Luci on Monday, March 3, 2008, 10:06:19
Right it appears I haven't got all my pictures on disc and I have loads on Facebook which need backing up.  The thing is, its going to take me ages to right click and save each one to my pc and copy to disc as I have over 2500.

Reason being some parts of Oz I couldnt get discs so had to upload straight onto PC without backing up.

Is there any quick way of copying my pics from Facebook onto disc/photo printing site or do I have to do it the long way?  :?

You should be able to use some kind of Fusker program like this one (http://members.home.nl/bas.de.reuver/files/fusker.html).

Just right click on one of your photos and get the URL, pop it into the Fusker app and then change the last bit of the url. For example, if the last four numbers of the URL are 1000.jpg just add [1000-1500] before the .jpg and it'll display all the pictures it finds.

You could also use Flash Get, put in the URL for the front page of each album and set it to download all files. There should be a setting to go 'deep' by one link, so it'll download all the files from each album page and then it'll download everything from each individual photo page.

It's a download accelerator program. Just Google it.

And the Fusker thing, just tried it and have no idea what to do with the link as it comes up as this link:

When I go to properties!  How do I know what to change as it doesn't come up as anything with .jpg afterwards?  :?

Actually, I think you can do the same kind of thing using internet explorer which is a bit simpler.

Go to favourites and bookmark the album page and click the 'Make available offline' box. There's a setting there to go 'deep' by 1 link as well.
