Should be a piece of piss mate. I've not done it myself but would imagine there's something on the actual printer itself that you have to do to connect it to the router.

If you need a hand I can pop round sometime?

Dead easy mate, either connect it to the router via a USB connection...if your router has one or make sure the printer is connected to a PC that is already on the network.

Then its just a case of sending the print to the network printer not the local one and bingo!

Just write it out with your quill pen - it'll be quicker by the time you've finished trying to work out these new-fangled whojamaflips (No I've got no idea either)

I've been doing some digging Fred, is it Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

If it's Bluetooth and your PC has a Bluetooth adaptor it should be straightforwards.

If it's Wi-Fi, you'll need a wireless print server to connect to your router.

It depends on the printer as Sam says. Obviously specific instructions can't be given without knowing which printer you have.

If the printer is network capable (wireless/LAN print server) then it can just join your network like any other wireless/LAN device. It should act as a print server and be available to al computers on your network regardless of whether they are wireless workstations or wired. The advantage is that as long as the printer is online it should be available to any device at any time

If it is not a network enabled you have 2 choices-

1. Buy a (suitable) print server. You plug the printer into the print server. The print server plugs into the network via cable or attaches wirelessly. You then have tfe same setup as above. Disadvantage - you have to buy a print server.
2. Attach the printer to a PC as normal. As long as the PC is connected to your network  then it can be configured to be "shared" with other computers on your network.  Disadvantage - the PC it is connected to has to be turned on, and connected to your network or other computers will not be able to use it.

You could be a male version of those girls in the bars you mentioned before.
