I have no second team asides from England, and England are always second to Swindon for me.

I might cheer for an English team playing a foreign team in Europe. But that's it.

I've been to a couple of games in the North East to compensate not being able to go to the CG - Sunderland is the cheapest although from next week I will live about 10 minutes from Newcastle's ground.

I look out for the teams I've seen outside England - Aberdeen (step-dads team), New England Revolution and Hanover 96.

Did you see that Sky programme about football's worst away days? There was a bloke on it from Clacton (just down the road from me as it happens) who drove up to every single Morton game. He wasn't even Scottish!!! He picked up some other bloke from Colchester (who was Scottish) and they used to travel up together. EVERY game    Well, I don't suppose even he went to midweek games. He was obsessed with Scotland. He played Scottish music the whole time (and we're not talking Franz Ferdinand, we're talking fucking bag pipes and all sorts of fucked up shit) He even wore a kilt :?

Fair play to him though.

Yes - she is.  Born & bred.  We're up there several times a year and I love it.

And as for those fans driving up there for homes games...madness!  When we drive up it's 450 miles each way - takes 9 or 10 hours including breaks.  And I can't imagine it would be a lot less from Essex.

Yes I saw that show my Dad has met that bloke apparently he's a top guy absolutely obsessed with Morton.  I love the commitment in the crazy fans.  I've only been to a couple of games at Cappielow including a heated derby with St Mirren where there was a big caged fence between home and away fans and both sets of supporters lob full cans of drink over the top of it, fun for all the family  :)

Dunoon is stunning location one of the truly lovely parts of Scotland used to go there for family holidays and loved it.  Tend to fly up and train across from Glasgow and Prestwick these days as that car journey is murder.

I'm probably going to get absolutly slated, but my 'second team' if you like, has always been Man United, Man U, ManUre....(Whatever floats your boat...)
Now this is purely because half the family are from Manchester, most of who have been season ticket holders since god was a boy - I got taken to my first United game at the age of 4 (So back in 1992), and have been plenty of times since (Albeit not for a couple of years now....).

If it's a choice between United or Swindon, however, there's no comparison...Swindon everytime

Never went to see them though  :D

Still have a soft spot for them and like seeing them win.................

Unless we're playing them :D
