Such a terrible thing to happen to such a young tallented player (even if he did play for the arse) Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: fatbury on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 19:07:00 truly awful ... i felt sick in the pub today watching that match
should have been abandoned Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: swindon-chap on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 19:09:14 Hope its not the end for him, he has been looking really good recently, his finishing is top class.
Good luck Eduardo. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: Luci on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 19:09:19 Had to be someone in my Fantasy prem team didn't it god dammit.
I hope he can recover to make what is left of his career although unlikely. Cisse's break was pretty bad and he made it, you never know. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 19:21:08 Alan Smith had a similar injury and came back. There are so many advances these days I wouldn't rule his career over.
Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: McLovin on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 19:47:58 He could have run it off...
I wouldn't have sent Taylor off, to be honest. as strange as it sounds, although it snapped his leg in half, i din't think it was that bad a challenge Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 20:00:01 Quote from: "McLovin" He could have run it off... Tough one. I honestly don't think he went in to hurt Eduardo but having your foot up like that is, as proven, a tad dangerous. Have to say I've seen much worse challenges this season thoughI wouldn't have sent Taylor off, to be honest. as strange as it sounds, although it snapped his leg in half, i din't think it was that bad a challenge Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: Bogus Dave on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 20:16:46 Thats what happens if you dont drink milk kids. Is his foot stil in the boot on the first picture? It honestly doesn't look that bad

It's unfortunate had his weight on that leg... if he hadn't he'd have just been up-ended if his studs were stuck as well, that's just doubly unfortunate.i don't think taylor should be hung, drawn and quartered for it but a three match ban for a tackle that could be career-ending seems a bit pathetic really, intentional or otherwise Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: Batch on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 23:36:15 It's horrible, and unfortunate, but sometimes it happens. To suggest Taylor banned for anything other than 3 games because he may have ended someones career would be wrong. You have to ignore the severity injury and look at the intent.
I hope Eduardo makes a recovery. Just seen it on MOTD and my opinion is the picture in this thread makes it worse than it seemed full speed. There didn't seem to be any intent, he didn't look like he went in to do anything but win the ball. But Eduardo got there first. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: Arriba on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 23:39:03 i think you are spot on batch.i thought he meant it from the photo but not from the motd replay.
Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: axs on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 23:52:01 absolutely sickening, hate to think a young player's career might be over. this shit happens but it's still horrible when it does. I didn't think the challenge was that bad but MOTD didn't show as many angles as the photographs so it's hard to tell.

The press that this gets doesn't change what has happened to him and it's not his fault what league he plays in. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: STFCBIKER on Sunday, February 24, 2008, 00:12:32 Occupational hazard?
What i meant is that people get injured in all walks of life but when top player gets injured its deemed shocking, thats life. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: axs on Sunday, February 24, 2008, 00:17:38 i find it equally shocking when it's someone's career ended - be it League 2 or Premiership.Yes, it's an occupational hazard - so is being shot in the army - but it's still saddening when it happens.
Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: sonic youth on Sunday, February 24, 2008, 00:21:13 it's shocking and sad when something like this happens to anyone. the difference here is that it happened on live television to a talented footballer who has his whole career ahead of him and is known to the vast majority of us.
admittedly, if it does end his career then he won't be hard up for cash. Title: VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK: EDUARDO INJURY PIC (+ BRAIN MAGGOTS) Post by: STFCBIKER on Sunday, February 24, 2008, 00:21:42 Yes obviously its not nice seeing that type of injury but i doubt we would be talking about a league 2 players broken leg on here, i dont get all the fuss over premiership players they aint any different just get paid far too much.
