Could be wrong mind. Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: janaage on Friday, February 22, 2008, 12:46:18 I don't want to see Oxford go out of business, I just want to see them in Conference South.
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Friday, February 22, 2008, 13:31:42 :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: After all the shit we got from them before the takover i find this very ammusing. Don't want to see them go down though. Would they get the 10 point deduction in the conference? If so they could be in trouble
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Luci on Friday, February 22, 2008, 13:47:07 I wouldn't mind seeing them get points deducted and us get a few bragging rights but them to go out of business? Nah hope that doesn't happen.
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Power to people on Friday, February 22, 2008, 13:55:12 Don't want them out of business as who the hell would we be able to rip the piss out of then ?!
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Barry Scott on Friday, February 22, 2008, 14:13:44 Not only do i not want to see them go out of business, I want them up with us, i miss playing them.
I would imagine they wouldn't get a deduction as that's a rule of the football league isn't it? I don't know whether the conference has such a rule. Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: flammableBen on Friday, February 22, 2008, 14:30:02 Haven't the conference been getting super strict on financial stuff? A few teams have been done recently I think, maybe Scarborough and others. My brain isn't working very well.
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Bogus Dave on Friday, February 22, 2008, 15:22:59 I think so. Boston weren't even allowed in the conference because their finances were so shit
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, February 22, 2008, 17:36:44 The 10 point rule still applies in the Conference (or Blue Square Premier as it's called now). Crawley had 10 points deducted at the start of this season for going into administration.
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: pauld on Friday, February 22, 2008, 18:19:36 The conference applied the 10 pt deduction rule before the League did - I think the FL copied it off the conference. Same with the wage cap, IIRC

Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: suttonred on Friday, February 22, 2008, 20:47:41 Crawley were docked 6 this season and 10 last season
Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: BANGKOK RED on Friday, February 22, 2008, 21:25:26 I think it's all just a rumour myself. I occassionally like to pop in and say hello to our "Friends" on that forum, but there only seems to be one thread on the subject which is, as yet, unfounded.
Personally I want them to be up in the same league as we are, just so that we can play the cunts at least 2 times a season. Title: Oxford United - Administration Fears Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Monday, February 25, 2008, 09:20:54 I'd be quite happy to see the cunts go out of business. Laughing at the stupid yellow bastards trying to find a new club to support would be priceless

I'm with you on that. You want to be playing your proper rivals twice a season. Although Rovers and City and the like are good rivalries nothing compares to the scum derby. |
