Looks like the Dennis Wise to Newcastle story has been reignited and I would not be surprised if the little shit jumps ship again at least it will teach the fat white bearded cunt a lesson and let him know what it feels like. Surely Keegan is not grooming him to be the next manager of Newcastle.

Quote from: "leeds U website"

In reponse to speculation in the media on Monday, the club confirm that our manager Dennis Wise is preparing the team in Southend ahead of Tuesday's game at Roots Hall.

Which obviously increases the speculation by lack of direct quote/denial!

I don't know why he'd leave to be honest, but money talks when a bigger club comes knocking. read on another site he'd be DOF. Surely not, then again - Nicky Hammond.

Had a tip-off before the story broke this morning to go and throw money at this down the bookies.

Looks like the little turd will be gone by the end of the week unless Bates breaks his wallet open and offers him an improved deal.

I'm not sure whether he's take it or not... I can't see him wanting to step down (in hierarchy terms, I'm sure get a shit load more money) but I suppose he might have eyes on the main job in the future.

I'll hedge my bets and say he'll stay at Leeds at least until the end of the season.

Brilliant, shame it's taken the edge of our meeting with Leeds, but funny as you like.  Great to see Bates lose his little mate.

I hope Leeds struggle now, another season in League 1 will do them good.

Bassett in temp charge of Leeds then?  Ha ha, it gets better and better.

As for Newcastle would love to see them carry on doing crap.

What he said. It's textbook Schadenfreude (and no that's not one of the players he'll be scouting for Newcastle). Poor little Leeds, having their manager poached by a proper big club.  :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

Perhaps Leeds should be more realistic as to their current status when selecting their next manager. With that in mind, this guy's available:

Arf, poor old Keegan he sounded bewildered by it all on the radio.

It sounds like Newcastle have been trying to tap-up the poison dwarf for a while only to eventually get their man and appoint him above the messiah’s head.

I suspect the Wise also clocked that the wheels were coming off his Leeds campaign and that Arry’ was in fact no match for Gus who appears to be getting very highly rated as a coach.  Perhaps the midget was nowt but a muppet for the Uruguayan pulling the strings?

Nice move if we get a bit of cash as well.

McAllister said to be in talks over Leeds United job - and Bassett quits

FORMER Leeds United playing legend Gary McAllister is a huge odds-on favourite to be named as the next manager following rumours he is in talks with the club.
SkyBet has slashed the odds on the man known throughout his career as 'the enforcer' to 6-1 on, with other bookmakers suspending betting altogether.

McAllister spent six years at Elland Road as a player in the early 90s before leaving for Coventry City, where he was player-manager before standing down in 2004 for personal reasons.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that assistant manager Dave Bassett will leave Leeds United before tonight's match at Southend with technical director Gwyn Williams taking charge.

Or maybe Bates is looking to sell up this summer and tipped little Den off "if you want to go, don't let me hold you back". Lot of foreign money sloshing round at the moment looking for English clubs to invest in - if Derby can attract a buyer, surely Leeds are just as enticing a prospect? And if Bates senses an opportunity to cash in he'll be off quicker than a mongoose up a whippet. or something

The mood here in the North East is probably the same as when Wise joined Swindon or Leeds - well the mood of those who have always loathed Dennis Wise that is.

I would certainly say that the euphoria (and it was, it was mental) of Keegan's return has fallen flat already because of the appointment of Mr. Wise.

Wise has never been loyal, he walked out on Milwall, Swindon and now Leeds, his managerial record is poor though as he has never hung around.

I hear his reason for leaving Leeds was that he was getting fed up with day to day football management  :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

Dennis Wise says that he will not poke his nose into Kevin Keegan’s business at Newcastle United. His primary duty is to build up the youth academy and it is accepted that, in the short term, the club may have to buy their future, plucking the best youngsters from smaller clubs. With that in mind, what was Wise doing sitting next to Chris Mort, the chairman, during Newcastle’s match at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday? What was the point of attending a first-team match?

A short way down the M4, Swindon Town were playing Middlesbrough in the FA Youth Cup. Middlesbrough are believed to have one of the best academy set-ups in the country, yet Swindon won 2-0. Not a bad place to start scouting, then, for a club looking to cherry-pick their youth team. And how less intrusive Wise would have appeared had he been there, rather than perched by the side of Mike Ashley’s powerbroker in the directors’ box, overseeing another awkward 90 minutes for the manager.
