Title: Tunes of 2007
Post by: Nomoreheroes on Sunday, December 30, 2007, 20:28:45
Feeling a little nostalgic what with the turn of the year and all that. Wondered what recommendations you chaps would make for the top 5 albums on 2007?

(Just having a look around for something to listen to. Giving Editors latest a go and also The Cribs. Neither at the moment does anything to oust Siouxsie Sioux's Mantaray as the top album of 2007 for me)

I can't think of anything amazing this year. I've lost interest a bit and everything has seemed a bit mediocre. Might just be me.

I think what Ben thinks. And I dont mean about pouring more wine, although I'm tempted to do that after this first glass.

I have this mega problem with regional accents being pushed in vocal delivery - Each to his/her own though! Fraid I couldn't listen to more than 30 secs of the X-ray one - Phew!

Siouxsie Sioux - Here Comes That Day http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LxJhUYeZJ-8&feature=related (Recently used by the BBC to advertise its Xmas 'gems'

I dont get put off by the accents, but it does get a bit irritating after a while il give you that. It just seems that if your a band from sheffield or a solo female artist from london your guranteed a record deal, which is abit stupid.

I am x-ray is probably my favourite song of the year! your obviously not down with it  :D

axs: the wombats are very good. make really catchy music. suprised you haven't heard them alot though, they've been raped to death in the media recently
