Story of my life always too early!Mine is starting 1st jan which means I have a week left to get messy

Post by: sonic youth on Monday, December 24, 2007, 16:49:04
my resolution for 2006 was "lose weight, work harder, stop fucking about"...two out of three wasn't bad, although i didn't do it until 2007.

my resolution last year was to become an agoraphobic hermit. not sure i succeeded there, i'm more sociable nowadays.

this years resolution will be to start drinking again.

Mine was to only drink at weekends. That went out of the window in mid January.

Some TEFers notable one's for 2007 were:

Learn to drive

Oops!

And did John and Yeovil succeed?

Quote from: "jayohaitchenn"

Try Heroin and/or Crack.

Learn to play the guitar

try and be a good Dad

Be civil to my ex for Jenna's sake

Make next xmas better for Jenna than this one is.

Swim with a Dolphin(s)

Meet a yank waitress called Charmaine and do all sorts

Get my driving licence back, then say to work that I still want to commute on the train (it's ace fun)

To see my Mum and Dad next Xmas day and for them to see me happy

To be told I dont have to take all these tablets

To have a steak

To take Jenna to football at every opportunity and buy her a kit

To give Mex a kidney

That just about sums next year up for me

Love

Fred

Thats fucking ace! I met a rather nice American waitress called Erica yesterday. She was well impressed with the Christmas Crackers we brought to the pub (and looked a right bunch of twats in Xmas hats btw). She was a corker. Shame I was as sick as a dog and happily married.......

Mine is to exercise more and lose weight.

Really - my son did 4 years at Warwick, got 2 job offers as an Actuary, chose the one that pays 30k a year (at 22!!!) and next year will be on 33/34.  Its all well and good joining the Uni of life, bu the reality is that apart from the great experience, a degree DOES give you extra legs in the job market.

Sorry about the waste of sperm bit - just wanted to hark back to a better time.

My more achievable resolutions.

Be more effective with my decisions
Become better at prioritising and improve my organisational skills
Question myself less
Be less patronising
Stop reading fiction and books that teach me nothing
Only work between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday and never put work before socialising - All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
Spend at least 10 hours a week doing something other than work
Only visit the TEF in the evenings
