Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 05:53:29 ...immediately wanted to show it to someone else.
Everybody's been going on about Pan's Labyrinth and City of God, neither of which I've got round to watching yet. But I will do. There's a few nominations for me. Old Boy being the ultimate. Must have been a few years since I first saw it but I still like showing it to people. Everything about that film is awesome. Any of Miyazaki's films are another one. Although I'm much more aware that people won't like them. Cartoons + Subtitles can be too much for some, you can get hold of dubbed versions of most of them but some of the English voice overs suck. Interestingly, if you can understand it then listen to the French version of Porco Rosso. Infact, if you've got the option. have English Subs with French Audio. Strangely better than the Japanese original. This is England was sort of one. It's great, but not quite that great. I'll come up with some more when I wake up tomorrow afternoon. Or maybe I won't sleep. That would be better. I'll have to see how I go. Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: flammableBen on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 06:27:35 Being 2/3rds of the way through, I can almost say that "Click" won't be a film I'll be recommending to anybody. Unless you want some Kate Beckinsale eye candy.
It's fucking woeful. Even for Adam Sandler. Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: Fred Elliot on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 08:36:02 its ace

Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 09:47:08 Ooooh Kate Beckinsale. What a fantastically pleasing woman.
Last film that i wanted to show to someone else after i watched it would be Crash. I love that film. Made all the better by Jamie Lynn Sigler (http://www.bartcop.com/jamie-lynn-sigler-01.jpg) (Meadow from the Sopranos). Not the most photogenic of women, but gorgeous in Saw 3. Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: STFC Village on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 09:52:13 The Darjeeling Limited, probably the best comedy film of the year and there's been some good 'uns (Superbad, Knocked Up, Hot Fuzz)
Title: Last film you watched where you... Post by: sonic youth on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 09:53:16 actually, i think the last film i saw that people ought to watch by law is The Eighth Day/Le Huitième jour (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116581/)

Click is a shit film. I think that the Departed COULD have been a great film but the casting was all wrong, Jack Nicholson just didn't cut it for me as a maffia boss. Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 17:14:42 Quote from: "Chubbs" Requiem for a dream/Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind/Bully/Garden State Girl next door I'm not big on TV or film, but these will go on my "to see" list. Thanks. Fatbury, i rather like Serendipity. I'm not impartial to chick flicks or Kate Beckinsale though, so i can't give your recommendation any credence, in fact, i probably give it less. Oh, Forest Gump is fucking epic. I know it's a bit of a predictable film to appear in a list of great films, but it's still WKD. Title: Last film you watched where you...
