The missions are a bit short but it's easily the best first person shooter I've played, Call of Duty 2 was good too and Call of Duty 1 not bad but showing it's age. Also got half life 2 recently but that's no way near as good.

There hasn't been a truly great First Person game since Deus Ex and it scares me that it was released in 2000. Single player anyway. I might give some exceptions on multilayer.

HL2 was alright from what I played (which was a fair bit on my housemates computer), but it lost some of the awesome clean fun of the Vent Shaft Crawling Simulator '98 which was the original. It got a bit Oooh look at our physics engine for me. The best 3 First Person games are still Deus Ex, System Shock 2 and probably the original Half-Life. Although of course Half-Life sucks fucking goats once you get to the alien world. Fucking yawn.
