Title: Just Jack @ The Glasshouse Tomorrow
Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 18:14:52
Just Jack will be Djing a the Glasshouse (formerly The Bedroom) tomorrow from 1130-1.

Shameful plug. the company I work for runs this place and it has been done up very good in deed, it's nothing like the shit hole that was the Bedroom.

A lot of money has been spent on this place.

Should be a good night!

Why should it be a good night Gazza?   What are the attractions likely to be?

Think there is a champagne reception and Just Jack is a pretty big name right now, new clean venue, Looks fab. Not being biased either, Did a bang up job cleaning the dump up to something respectful.

Although I wouldn't say I think too much of him

So he's now dj'ing at pub openings?

That difficult second single must be taking longer than he thought.

The thing is people always go to the Vic when they fancy a quick pint. We played there the other week on a Thursday night and it was actually quite busy.

But people wont want to pay £3.20 for a pint.  There is a fine line with prices

£3.20 for a pint in the vic?  How much is it in longs/macks/spot kinda places these days?

Walked passed the Glasshouse at lunch this week, fair play done a good job on that bar!

The big test for Glasshouse is not making it attractive and new inside its keeping out the hundreds of chavs that went there before (when it was bedroom).  If they want to make it down town then they have to lose there reputation of attracting tossers so they need to have good door staff to keep out muppets.  Then location wise it has the potential to take people away from (way too packed) Walkabout and Sir Dan Arms.

Most new places see a certain boom period when they come out as people want to see whats going on etc like Edwards did, We need to maintain the audience we get.

I know we are not aiming at the chav and slag crowd etc and smart dress will be required.

I am looking forward to the opening tomorrow, I know how much hard work etc has gone into turning this place from the biggest dive in swindon (except Casbah) to somewhere respectful.

Only thing they didnt do was put PERONI on Draft!

I had exactly the same issue.

I remember he became "Jack 2000" first, then "Just Jack".
