Title: sports personality
Post by: Boeta on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 11:48:13
was there a thread about this?

i was pleasantly shocked by the public actually rewarding a winner and not second best hamilton or second best hatton

about time this country started changing its culture towards sport, a step in the right direction.

sports personality is no more than the name, the award is given for achievement

dex, you are my age so i can only guess this is a laughable mistake.

this is an internet persona for fuck sake.

football is an insular sport, believing it is better because it is bigger. thus the people that follow it become obsessive and equally insular.

football is a great sport, hence its popularity, but people are scared of hearing their and their loves weaknesses and football is no different.

i am not a cunt. i am an interesting, intelligent guy. mex and fred made extremely funny posts as penis substitutes without understanding a) the bird(s) i'm with are lovely b) it doesn't matter what they do. they think because they pull it makes them special. no, anyone who likes the female form can pull it off.

i met reeves4england on a train from leeds to sheffield  (he was getting off in the northern countryside somewhere) and he didn't seem to think i was a cunt. he didn't know who i am/was and still doesn't.

i support swindon but also have a differerent understanding of life and sport. this isn't neccessarily right or wrong but it's interesting. walrus' stories go down like a dream here but i've experienced much more interesting stuff, i'm just not so self-obsessed.

i'm not perfect, but i can't work out whether you guys are scared or insular, but you seem unable to open your eyes on occasions and there can't be much else to it.

which like i said is an internet persona (which i won't change). challenging your thinking by being a 'prick' but if you aren't perpared to grasp it is weak.

fuck me, borderline wittering now, but that article i posted on skill and compusure vs. passion and commitment, goes in the face of everything english football stands for. could have created some really interesting discussion. it wasn't a perfect article though. why didn't people respond? boeta is a cunt (insular) or scared of it?

"Didn't seem to ..." - it's not like you to be uncertain of something. Anyhow, you can see why people say that first impressions can be deceptive.

Quite frankly, it was boring and you added no further to the article with your own opinion.

The ingedients for the best team would be passion, commitment, skill, composure oh and a brain between them.

internet persona or otherwise you clearly think you're above everyone because you've grown out of football a bit.

to interesting and intelligent i'd like to add modest to your ever-so refined list of virtues.

Do Sports people have different personalities on the internet? Is there a special award for that? I'm confused.

I didnt see the skill v passion article but Im not that interested in general football, thats probably pretty obvious.I look it up later though.

Id rather have Boeta being all superior than the people that only ever post in the Boardroom section, they REALLY get on my boobies :x

Boeta has always got on my goat however without different types of input and personalities, this forum wouldn't be what it is.

I'm touched that you think about me at 2.38am on a Saturday morning.

I admit that I can be a cunt, but I'm usually a nice cunt. My comments recently were based on your posts over the last few years. It's not personal, just that you seem to have an odd view about certain things.

And I don't like cricket.

And r4e is the ginger son I never had.

Be nice.
