Sorry but i don't think so, the wills and diamond mike are just too greedy and diamandis would probably prefer to take the club down, they will screw Fitton around again.

Someone posted this on My Only Swindon:

Now, the fact that I can't see this confirmed anywhere online yet, I'm hoping this isn't going to getting everyones hopes up. But, I have been told from a reliable source (soon to find out how reliable), that a deal has been done and Fitton has bought the club for £2 and agreed to pay off all debt.....and build a new stadium.
Other news is that Everton want both Brez and Tozer for a fair sum.
If all true, we can all grab our STFC shirts back out of package destined for the national football musuem............if I'm wrong.....I'll get my coat.....

Sound like rubbish to me. How many times have we heard "sources" claim this Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick If it is true though then great

Try and keep at the back

I voted NO on the basis that the greed of certain individuals will try Fitton's patience too much.

I understand he took a strategic risk by pulling out of the deal on Thursday, a risk which paid dividends to an extent that it grabbed certain people's attention. Having said that, I still think Diamandis will do everything in his power to take the club down rather than forego any future profits re CG redevelopment.

As has been said many times by many people over the last three days, it comes down to greed above everything else.

im still confident, i think mike d and SSW know time is up, and their share is worth nothing. but if this drags onto the brighton match WE BETTER START GETTING READY!

I think Fitton WILL complete.
I don't however think Diamandis will allow Wills to complete. Based on the fact that Diamndis has only £1 to lose, & is a "greedy bastard", & Wills is stupid enough to take his advice.

I desperately want Fitton to complete, I feel the current incumbents will not let him so I voted no.

Fuck me I hope I am wrong.

What choice do they have now?

Absolutely no other choice except the closure of the club.

This is true, but Diamndis doesn't care. his shares cost £1. He said in December last year, I will take the club down with me if neccesary. (BBC Radio).  He will do it too, because that is the type of man he is (Vindictive).

Will has everything to lose, & nothing to gain. Problem is he takes advice from Diamandis.

I apologise for saying this but a lot of people recently have come out with the i know an insider thing and they say this and that and everytime it has ended up not being true, would you say that this is fact? no offence intended.

Ive got a feeling (just my gut feeling of what will happen) that in a bitter twist of irony the WUP has already been granted and Fitton will take over a company which has already been authorised to be liquidated.

They will go, but only when the club is completely, utterly ruined.

I have to agree OAF, no offence intended but I am going to wait until it is signed sealed and delivered on at least the Adver web site if not the official website itself.

threats to take take the club down achieves nothing ok it may be pathetic revenge against posters on the internet and other people  but cutting your nose off to spite your face. gaining revenge against maybe a few hundred town fans who openly voice their hate of the board is madness over the thousands who will be devastated by the demise of the club is insanity. no one individual is bigger than the club.

I'm not very hopeful. On the one hand you've got a businessman Fitton who has no emotional ties to STFC and could simply walk away and buy another club. On the other hand you've got SSW still being advised by Greek shit who has £1 to lose and a great deal to gain by playing hardball. If the club folds then he loses his £1 and potential gains.
Neither of the main players are as emotionally committed to the clubs survival as we are and that is the prboem. If the club folds these two can walk away. The fans will understand Fitton walking away and there will be ramifications for the Greek shit but he'll accept it.

Fitton is a swindon fan, seton wills may call himself a swindon fan but he's already proved that he doesn't give a toss about our club, if he did he would have done the right thing for the club.
Fitton has been trying to buy this club for years so i think he really cares about this club so i really hope that he gets control.

I suspect the reason why the deal will fail is because SSW mortgaged his land for dosh from St Modwen.    Somebody has to settle that situation and clearly Fitton doesn't want to.  Presumably,  if Wills sells up he has to lose his land to St Modwen.....however if the club folds then St M will probably just have to write it off.

Originally St Modwen got involved, as teh main man was a friend of SSW...he died, and so its now likely they take a less benevolent line.

I think the Trust, if its not already happening should convene a meeting of all interested parties.....to try and give some clear answer to fans about what options are available in the likely event of a WUP in the new year.

Correct. In his "I am a financial guru", "I am the general Manager" interview on BBC Radio Wiltshire/ Swindon. In his bit where he was slagging off the Trust etc,  He said he would not be going anywhere. He said if  neccesary he would take the club down with him.

If that's in reply to my post, apologies, I didn't mean MD (we all know what's been said about that). Was probably a bit too subtle in my reply.
