Title: Sky Multiroom Post by: jimbob on Sunday, December 2, 2007, 12:39:19 Having had this for a year now in my bedroom, gonna get rid and get myself a magic eye/digisender/whatever they're called.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Also, unrealistic I know, but may need one that has a transmission range of about 50 metres having just built a games room in me backyard-is this possible?? It goes through my lounge around over teh house into my bedroom via all the guttering so hidden - id say about 60 metres

I'm after something wireless for me bedroom, ya know, one of those things that transmits from main tv via one of those mouse-lookin things :? In addition, if it can be done, I'm looking for something similar that can transmit again from me lounge to me sex-den in me backyard Title: Sky Multiroom Post by: Sussex on Sunday, December 2, 2007, 13:10:34 I've got magic eye. Title: Sky Multiroom Post by: Batch on Sunday, December 2, 2007, 13:54:51 You can get wireless digitsenders from about £20 to £100. Their effectiveness depends on a load of local factors - distance between source and receiver(s), wall construct, wireless network interference, etc.
There is no problem having 2 receivers and one transmitter so providing ''range' is OK you could feed 2 additiojnal TVs from 1 source. The main issues I had with digisenders are 1 - interference from wireless network caused a 'click click' sound/line on the TV (intermittant). Microwaves also really screw it up when on! 2. Most digisenders have 4 'channels' for audio/video but only 1 for the remote relay (AIE gold as sold in Argos £99 gets round this!). To cut a long story short a clash with the neghbours resulted in a remote control war as we were both controlling each others boxes. That said, this setup works fine for my mum. ---------------------------------------------------- In the end I went for a cabled resolution - magic eye for £5 incl P&P from ebay (Already had remotes) and some coax. You can get boosters that are magic eye compatible and so can control the Sky box from more than one room. No more interference, it works great! Disadvantages - coax does not carry stereo sound from a Sky box. - got to run cables Title: Sky Multiroom Post by: tans on Sunday, December 2, 2007, 14:05:24 Quote from: "Bushey Boy" I just didnt read it properly!
