Have you reprobates seen the clamour for Nintendo Wii’s at the moment?  Every online UK store is sold out and the prices on ebay are soaring to £280 (RRP for the Sports pack is £180) at present I suspect that figure is only going to soar as desperate mothers and the press start to pick up on the clamour before Christmas.

Anyway if anyone wishes to make a fast buck then purchase a unit from Ze’Germans and just switch for a UK power lead (£4 off ebay).  All of the other gubbins (manual etc) is in Englishhhhhhhh and you to can rip off a desperate mother for beer money.

Just an update if anyone encounters the non-Urine variety of  Wii (see what I did there  :D ) then fucking grab it for all it's worth.

I'm down to my last 5 consoles and the dirty French and German retailers stopped shipping to the UK last week due to stock shortages across Europe.

Basic Sports console is now shipping at over £300 a pop through ebay and local ad's and aside from Hull and Brum most retailers like their online counterparts are now sold out.

I've been turning about a tonne on each but I'm going to sit on 4 until next month when the desperate get even worse.

I've had mine since June, seriously considering selling it and rebuying after Christmas :D

£300  :shock: I could buy a PS3 for that. Plenty of them on the shelves :)

They have them on amazon.de for under £200 if anyone is interested.

I might get me one. The problem is that I'll probably decide to keep it.

I was just in ASDA, (Leeds thoguh)  They had 5-6 in stock.  I was going to buy one then sell it on.  BUT i knew i wouldnt be able to sell it, I would want to keep it.

Every shift I do (at Blockbuster) there are at least five or six phone calls to ask if we have any Wii's in stock, it's ridiculous! Luckily the last time we had some in I got one for my parents for christmas, as there would be no chance of getting hold of one now, its madness.

Heh heh, I just had an aggressive native woman phone me up off the back of a local classifieds ad accusing me of stockpiling and profiteering on Christmas and parent’s desperation to not disappoint their children.

I politely agreed and told her as per today’s Daily Mirror piece the going rate is £350 - £400

She hung up.   :D

Dazzza,  how the fack did you manage to buy one of amazon.de? its....errrrr..... all in german and that :?

I want one - if anyone wants to get hold of one for me (for no more than £200) ill take it off your hands...

I used Amazon France and got a fluent colleague to help for the price of a cup of tea and biscuit on my first order.

After that Babelfish did the rest but the bastards have stopped all UK orders out of France and Germany now.  Your best bet is two fold.  Keep an eye on the link Whits posted but beware you have to move smartish once UK stock goes online the sites tend to crash in minutes and stock doesn’t last beyond an hour.

I’ve also noticed most online UK retailers are only selling in bundles now so you’re looking at £270 albeit with games that’ll still sell for face value.

If you’re looking abroad then www.pricerunner.de is a good bet and it’s not that hard to suss out what fields and buttons mean what.  I've checked with Nintendo and the warranty is still covered so you just need a power converter or a replacement power unit, which is about £3 or £10 respectively.

toys r us is the worst place to work when wii's are around!! we have phone calls all day and all night asking when we are getting any in!! it winds me up a treat!!  oh and incase anyone is wondering which im sure youre not, we are getting some in on friday night and they will be on sale first thing sat morning (first come first serve!) if anyone isn't going to leeds!!

I've had mine for nearly a year now  8)
