Our loss, their gain, would have been nice to see him in charge of swindon! Bloody nother year of kings tactics!

wtf.

why go to them???
we are both in the same league next year and they aren't exactly a top club.

this is wrong.

What exactly has Mick Harford done since he's been here?  Discuss.

You are quite right JA, but of course sometimes we can't really see what goes on behind the scenes!  He has only been here a really short time so it is probably a bit unfair to really judge him in his spell here!

he seems to have got them working hard on the training ground to improve their fitness.  you have to admit the players are giving their all up to the final whistle these days

From what ive heard from players he has them working and actually believing in themselves! also he takes all training which players like as king is useless on teh training ground

Yep I realise that, I was just wondering what people thought the big man had achieved in his time here.  I'd love to see him stay here and see what happens next season.  But at the moment it looks like he's just getting a good view of matches at the moment cos the team selection or formations have remained unchanged.  His influence appears to be limited to say the least.

Yeah, Parkin i know has commented on several occasions about the impact he has had!

Thats exactly why really he was never going to be here for long cause Kingy wants to be boss and would not bring anyone in who would challenge that!

"Yeah, Parkin i know has commented on several occasions about the impact he has had!" Titch

Isn't that just a case of SSP playing the game though.  As it's been said before you're not gonna get a player come out and say, I preferred it under Walshie to be honest are you.  Professional suicide.  You'd be dropped quicker than a cross handled by David James.

IMO the reason he has left is due to Kings stubborness...

Obviously, but if he did not like the bloke he would just not say anything surely!!

So if you're asked a question by the media he's not just gonna say nothing is he.  He's gonna tow the party line, as any half intelligent individual would.

Personally i couldn't give a fuck. As JA says he's done nothing of note since he joined us. We have the same inconsistancey, nervous defence and lightweight midfield, bollocks formations and baffling substitutions. I for one won't miss him. There's plenty of others who can do the same job, a King yes man.

Of course not but he has made comments when he has not been asked about it!  Off his own back like in his column etc!  If he did not like the bloke he would answer direct questions as he should but not volunterily talk about it surely!

I'll keep it concise - No loss. Save on wages. Not bothered.

Post by: janaage on Thursday, April 7, 2005, 09:31:09
No saving on wages here, as Harford was not being paid.  he would have received a big bonus if we'd made the play offs.

I'm depressed but not at losing Harford as Assistant - I really was hoping that failure to reach the playoffs would see King move aside and Harford step up into a role which I believe he could flourish in.  No chance of that now.

Lets hope we get another assistant in quick, probably be some clown like Walsh.

It can't be Reeves.  If it is then we have no hope.  This season is going from shite to fucking shite.  we may as well cancel May.  What a difference a year makes.

True he left because he only joined us as a short term arrangement anyway to try and get us to the playoffs, we don't have the money to offer anything more, Rotherham can pay him much more.
