Title: I'm worried.
Post by: Toni on Sunday, October 28, 2007, 09:04:56
I went to Port Vale to watch the match yesterday and during the game i started having heart palpitations. I tried to forget about it and drove home. When i got home i started having chest pains, i was short of breath and i had pins and needles down my left arm. My heart still had palpitations. Its still the same this morning and i'm worried something is wrong. My mum wants to drag me to the hospital but i'm too scared to go.  :(

Erm... I don't want to sound horrible, but posting about it on here isn't going to help.

Go to the hospital, you can't put a price on your health. If it turns out to be nothing then so be it, but at least you'll have had it checked out.

I agree with Fatbury

I don't think this is the case, but lets just say that the worst case scenario is true and there is a problem with you heart. It's not going to go away by sitting at home. The hospital is the best place for you to get it sorted out.

Get yourself checked out.

I went to the hospital in the end, only because i was made to go. It turns out i had a massive panic attack because of Swindon yesterday. Thats what the people in A & E said.

I was seen straight away and the doctor said that because i was getting nervous everytime Port Vale were getting towards goal and because Swindon lost when i probably expected Swindon to win brought on a panic attack. I have to be careful going to football too.

Toni, I used to get panic attacks quite easily. Not about Swindon but unimportant stuff like failing university and being hideously in debt. I found the best thing was to self medicate. Wine and or Ketamine are the best. Weed takes the edge off a bit but isn't ideal.

I've never ever had panic attacks in my life. Yesterday during the game was the first time ever.

Well then don't go  :D .

I don't think you've got many other options than
a) go and risk it. or
b) don't go and stay at home.

I'm on diazepam but i can't take too much cos they are the easiest drug to get addicted to. I can only take a certain amount. I still have to go to footie though as i have a season ticket. If it makes it worse then so be it but i'm not wasting money but not going to games and wasting over half of my season ticket!
