Title: Players Leaving
Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Friday, October 19, 2007, 14:53:24
Looks Like Sturrock is ready to ship out some of the dead wood Who do you think will go.

I think

Kaid Mohamed (loan at Wrexham)
Andy Caton (Released)
Ibon Arrieta (Released)
Mauro Almedia (Released)
Steve Adams (Loan? or Release)
Michael Pook (Could be sent out on loan as mentioned in a BBC interview)

Good start if we can find takers. It's not that I think all are dead wood. But fringe players are an ill afforded luxery at the moment. I'd add Sturrock Jr to that list once Corr is up and rrunning.

If Jr can get a loan club it would be better all round than him rotting in the reserves.

I don;t see Pook going out but may be proved wrong

Arrieta and Almeida are almost certain to go I'd have thought and I'm not expecting Mohammed to stay either

I don't know, it's just a few things Sturrock has said makes me think he may be playing tomorrow.

I'll probably be wrong though, it's only a hunch :D

Brez will atleast be on the bench - which is a step up!
Be nice to see him get a proper chance in the league, even if it is harsh on Smith

I dont think Adams will go out on loan as Sturrock rates him highly even though he hasnt shown any sort of form or fitness since signing for us.

Brez wont go out on loan as we do need him for cover as Hertha says he may be playing tomorrow.

Sturrock Jnr wont go out even though he should as he isnt up to the standard we need.

Arrieta and Almeida will both go on frees.

Mohammed will go out on loan, probably to a Blue Square Premier side for experience.

Pook WILL go out on loan if anyone wants him, probably to a division 2 side, I know Ince was an admirer of his but I dont think MKD want another midfielder.

Chris Blackburn will go back to Morecambe either on a free or on loan.

If Adams leaves it will be for good, he is only on a short term contract.  Blackburn will not leave, Luggy rates him highly and did say he was a player they could develop into a real saleable asset!

I really hope Chris Allen goes out on loan, to a decent standard as well.

Not to Ciren or Supermarine because thats effectivetly as good as a golden hand shake.

When I've seen him he's always looked very good technically and has looked to spray the ball about.

At this stage of his career though he needs games, proper professional games.

He isnt likely to get in our team ahead of Peacock, Easton, Adams & Pook.

I think going on loan to someone in League Two would be a good move for Allen

Maybe Tozer to, although he is younger.

Good shout DV, Chrissie Allen needs to get some experience under his belt and he'll turn out to be a decent asset for Town.

Not sure they would let Tozer out on loan even if they could.  He is a first year scholar I believe.  Allen needs to be playing regularly so a move to a Conference side would be a good bet.

he'll make it as a pro i reckon.dunno about the prem though.
agree with dv about chris allen, he is a talent.

lloyd macklin could be a star in the making, trust me he is quality, lightening pace and can run at people.needs to control his temper though as he is a fiery bugger.

If jutkiewicz can get a premiership club, I think there is hope for quite a few players

but Jutkiewicz is good and never looked out of place in League One when he was only about 16 years old. Plus he had the physical presence which alot of youngsters never develop and miss out because of this.

I've only seen Tozer twice, and again he is only young but I thought he looked pretty crap and out of hid depth both times and I've seen youth players like Leigh Henry, Kyle Lapham and David Stroud play better than that and they all ended up at Supermarine!

stroud has been diobolical for marine and struggles to get a game there.henry and lapham are their best players by a mile

Tozer has only looked out of his deph because he plays at left back or right back when he is a centre back.

Stroud I thought did well for us and never got a chance after he was injured but hey ho. Tozer looks clumsy to me.

Well i think he's better than the players we have in our youth ranks. Just my opinion. He's 17 FFS.

havent seen enough of chris allen to gain an opinion of him, so will trust the management when they say he's a player. i cant help but think he's a bit too small to make an impact in his position though.

I see in PS's post match interview he states that 3 players will be moving on as they were brought here by BEST Holdings.

Arrietta and Almeida are obviously 2 of them but who is the third?

Wouldnt have thought it was Comminges as Sturrock seems to like him and the same can be said about Mohammed, I think they were Sturrock choices rather than being forced to buying them.

Or have I forgot someone in there?

Title: Players Leaving
Post by: lebowski on Sunday, October 21, 2007, 12:02:38
some bloke call Frank i think.

i assume he was the big lanky chap in the 'warm down' yesterday.

the only other BEST signing was Paynter, and Sturrock has said the departures won't be to the detriment to the team, so it can't be him.
