Ok. I need some opinions from you all.

My mate thinks that if he and a group of 14-15 guys that he plays football with once a week (including a handful of people who play or have played at Junior football level), given a month of training could beat the best women's football team in the World (say Germany)

I think he is mad, but he is adament given enough training that they would give the Germans a good game.

No way, the kept Martha out in the final and she is seriously good - maybe even good enough to improve our squad.

They may out power them but I reckon the ladies would be a better team and would probably win.

The American Womens Team played loads of matches against good amateur sides (men) before the world cup, they didn't lose a game.
I think the top Womens teams would be a match for any top Sunday morning team or the equivalent local league Saturday standard.

To be fair I think they'd give Oxford a damn good run for their money.

I would say no, but I am bias. They are very strong, organised and almost impossible to score against.

Germany's national womens team would give us a game let alone Oxford or any other pub team.

Just need to find someone who can get the ball on target from anywhere on the pitch and you'd score shedloads against them

Ha, I propose a game of 5 a side against teh women on here, ok were have 3 men you can have 6, we would still win

That woudl sort it out

Women cant run as fast as men
Women arent as physical as men
Women arent as tall as men and would loose every aerial assault
Womens goalkeepers cant save anything one inch over their head
Only women with balls can shoot from outside the area

Apart from Showjumping and Curling women cannot compete with men when it comes to sport.

I reckon that a national team of women would be pretty good, they would probably wipe the floor with a group of blokes who have trained for only a month.

Women keepers are rubbish though.

Lady how about you go in goal I will have a few penalties and we see whether you save any.  I reckon I could get 5 out of 5

Except the USA keeper, but she does use the force.

I think the German,  USA and Brazil women's teams would give a conference level team ie:Pox, a run for their money.  I really enjoyed the games I watched and the lack of rgamesmanship was a breath of fresh air.  The only area women need to sort out is the goalkeeper cos most were very poor, if a man hit a freekick straight at them it would go in....and there's still the non PC bit of wondering what they get up to in the showers.. :D
