Just ordered one. Has any one else got one and if so what are they like?

Surely you've done this the wrong way around?

My brother has one. They're quite chunky, but then they would be for all the guff they've got going on inside them.

brick indeed.  They have an average GPS system, camera is ok, dodgy software (make sure you update it off the Nokia site) and HSDPA fast full HTML T’internet.

Some people swear by them others swear at them and our retail side shift quite a few but also end up swapping a lot out because a most people expect them to be all things to all men when at the end of the day it's a phone with an average GPS and decent camera attached.

Battery life is extremely poor. Carry a charger with you at all times.

And switch it to 'GSM mode' only and only connect to the T'Internet/APN 'when required' not 'when available' > in the network settings.

Defeats the object of a super fast phone but it should dramatically improve the battery life.

I've got one ...

Decent phone but like some have said here, update the software away from the operator stuff - details here:
http://clear-nokia.blogspot.com/2007/05/nokia-n95-debranding-guide.html

Camera is decent - you get good shots out of it, and it comparable to the K800s etc.

GPS is slow slow slow ... Get the maploader from smart2go.com and download them via the net then disable the over the air downloads to avoid a nasty surprise!

Battery isn't as bad as people say - I get a good three/four days out of mine on 3g ... but the sat nav, for example, will drain the battery dry in about 90 mins.

Anyone tested out the K850?

I need a new phone and want to stick with SE as I have the extra memory already in my current phone

I had one James, you saw it.
Wicked phone, but you must keep a charger in the car.

Sat Nav is an extra cost if i remember rightly, however i think they load the maps on to the memory card now so its free.

I got my k850i in the post today. Seems alright. The touch sensitive bits take a bit of getting used to but that doesn't take long.

Will have to test the camera out at the weekend I guess.

I got mine today. After 11 months of Samsung shit I've finally got a decent replacement for the W800i. Only played with it for a couple of hours so far but I reckon it's gonna be something special.
