I'm looking to broaden my skills base, but don't really want to be tied down to full time study or day release if possible. BTW, I'm an old fart who hasn't studied anything for >15 years...

It seems quite popular this side of the pond, although some aspects get a bad press. Just wondered if the concept had reached the UK yet... Luckily I then got a job within our company and was able to study for the CII exams relevant to my job.
Title: Online Studying Post by: oxford_fan on Friday, August 17, 2007, 19:46:57 was looking into this today, like you say OU is pretty limited. learndirect do a load of stuff but most of it is pretty basic, but unis have started online-only courses which are just as full on and reputable as normal ones, check out liverpool uni who are the pioneers i believe.
