Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:14:57 Alright im looking at getting a new car, would love a jeep just cos they are easy to drive but ive got my eye on 3 normal cars in particular, a Golf TDI, A Audi A3 or a older version Audi TT (2002). Has anyone heard anything dodgy about any of these cars? Ive heard TT's dont handle well but it seemed OK to me.
Title: Cars Post by: Titch on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:21:06 I have driven from these are the A3 and Audi TT but these were brand new models when i was looking at changing my car 6 months ago! I really liked the Audi A3 and the TT was really nice to drive i found! I also drove the Golf and persoanlly i hated it but that is just personal preference really, although i also test drove the old style R32 now that was very nice!!!
Title: Cars Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:21:30 how much you got to spend???
depends what your after really. sporty or old man deisel?? stay away from the TT's though as they are piss pore. just a squashed beetle with a bit more poke. very unreliable too Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:29:49 Not ready for an old mans car yet, the TT just looks the part and ive found them for about 16k for a 2 year old car which is well in budget. Im gonna go look at teh small Mercedes (nit sure teh models) but there nippy aswell.
Title: Cars Post by: McLovin on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:31:40 TT's are a tad girly. Get a Ford Transit. White.
Title: Cars Post by: STFCBird on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:33:45 what about a fergerson tractor?
Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:38:16 at least I wouldnt get any points in one of those!!! My brother said TT's are girlie but im not convinced then again hes got a range rover so guess thats a bit more manly! sod it shall I just get a corsa/clio so that im a true girl!
Title: Cars Post by: Titch on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:40:27 Persoanlly i think if you have a cool looking sports-type car it does not matter if it's girly! Also the girlies like them!
Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:43:58 thats the way I was looking at it, got too be better than that stupid bright yellow thing I drive at the minute. If I take a girl out in a yellow car they giggle but if I took them in a TT well, lets just hope its wipe clean seats for STFC Bird
Title: Cars Post by: Titch on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 08:45:48 I have a yellow convertible  :soapy tit wank:

Mines a bright yellow MG ZR in fact ive probably cut a few people up on this forum. I need to change it as everyone knows who I am in it and occasionally with work etc its good to be able to go places and not be spotted.....

Ralphy got a second hand one (2 years old) for 14k Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 09:54:52 Ha ha, mate what do you think about teh ZR mines just 2 years old and ive had enough of it, very good from still at the lights but after 2nd gear rubbsih (im not a boy racer)
Title: Cars Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 10:04:50 or for 16k you can get a very decent Scooby or Evo.
Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 10:09:45 yeah but then get raped for insurance.
Title: Cars Post by: magicroundabout on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 10:14:41 how old are you then???
i had a quote on a scooby 2 months ago. it's a wrx 280bhp monster. went on confused.com to see how much it would be. so for a 26 year old 5 years no claims - no points office waller £251 fully comp with £250 excess. to say i was stunned was an understatement. the next lowest quote was £400 ish Title: Cars Post by: McLovin on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 10:38:53 Mine is 3 years old now. Its been a good little motor, its just i am bored of it too now. It was an impulse buy just after my 19th birthday and its served me well.
I will be selling it at the end of April if anyone is interested... Title: Cars Post by: Asher on Thursday, March 31, 2005, 10:39:08 wow thats cheap as! teh TT was £1500 fully comp, 6 years no claims, 3 points. 24 yrs old. Will have a look! Cheers mate
