THE County Ground has been evacuated because of a suspicious package.

A bomb disposal team has been brought in to look at the object, which is believed to be in a car in the players' car park.

It was discovered at about 4.30pm today, and the ground and the nearby County Ground Hotel were evacuated with a 400m exclusion zone put in place.

Traffic diversions have been set up at the Magic Roundabout and Manchester Road.
