Personally I couldn't stand the likes of Suzi Quattro, Alvin Stardust etc.

David Bowie yes and Roxy Music  yes.

When I was a humble student, on the ents committee we put on Bowie and Roxy Music.....for 280 pound.    Bowie 250 Roxy 30.

Some of it was shit.

Some of it was brilliant.

Once you got past the make-up, outlandish clothes and truly terrible hairstyles, some of it was really rather good.

Not a patch on what came after it though.......................

Being born in the early 70's I find almost all 70's music vile, its cos my parents probably like it,although they dont ..Its weird actually my parents seem to like that crappy generic formularic 60's shit...Freddy and the Dreamers :o  and such bollocks.I think they owned the TOTP albums through those years and nothing else(whick I think were sung by random session singers anyway?) But then my old dear was 18 when she had me and my dad 20 something.I think the media portrays these times as different to what they really were like for your average council estate kids.
