I've no idea what FB's reference to me and Monopoly was all about from the other night. Further I was in no way to blame for his chemical daliance on Saturday. Title: Boy racer.... Title: Boy racer.... Post by: Batch on Monday, August 6, 2007, 12:53:52 Now I have that Father Ted, speed episode in my head - but with Reg on a mobility scooter.
I don't know what Reg looks like so he is Victor Meldrew in my mind's eye. Title: Re: Boy racer.... Title: Boy racer.... Post by: Bushey Boy on Monday, August 6, 2007, 13:50:52 yes it does, be careful they watch you now

Title: Boy racer.... Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, August 6, 2007, 13:58:34 i declared it SORN. or off-road to normal people.
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: janaage on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:12:55 Don't use it on the road if you've sorn'ed it mate. I take it it's currently on a drive/in a garage, rather than just parked on the road cos they've have you for that as well.
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:14:19 yep it's parked in front of the garage. what are the chances of getting done if i do use it? surely it'd only be problem if i had an accident/got a speeding ticket/someone spots the expired disc?
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: tans on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:15:05 not worth the risk mate, and thats coming from the ob
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:16:26 risks are quite fun though. ok perhaps i shouldnt.....
unless absolutely necessary Title: Boy racer.... Post by: janaage on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:17:19 You'd be surprised how many times coppers (who happen to be following you) radio in your registration plate just to check the car should be on the road. SORN car's are all flagged, so if you're unlucky and a copper happens to be following you, then you'll get a fine.
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:20:17 ah i didn't realise, thanks for the tip. considering mine is a rather battered old ford fiesta with 1 wing mirror, only two hubcaps, dent in driver door, self-modified parcel shelf to hold chav speakers and a big crack in the rear bumper it's probably wise not to risk it.
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: yeo on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:36:22 Yes the Police are constantly catching the uninsured these days,I think they have a game of unisured car Bingo going at Swindon traffic. We currently have 50ish cars at our garage that the police have impounded for this very reason,£105 to get it back plus £18 quid for everyday its sat in the compound.
Title: Boy racer.... Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, August 6, 2007, 14:37:16 Most cop cars are fitted with ANPR cameras now anyway, that's how they catch so many uninsured/tax dodging/banned drivers.
