Looks nice and peaceful to me I have to drive 5 miles before i see open fields like that :? Title: rural hell Post by: STFCBird on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, 10:15:53 Stop moaning Walsh, I'd kill to live in a nice peaceful spot. I'd rather look out my window and see peaceful fields than the bloody A34
I'm a country girl all the way. I can imagine that after a while the peace and tranquility does your head in. I like the fact that within a 10 to 12 min walk of my place, I have a variety of pubs, clubs to suit moods and different times of day. Bung in a reasonable range of eating places...the CG, some parks and shops and the job's a good un. I agree Reg, personally whilst I love the great outdoors having grown up in a old town I can't imagine evr being in a situation where I have to drive just to get a pint, some milk or a paper. The isolation is nice for a holiday, but I'm a urban dweller at heart. Title: rural hell Post by: sonic youth on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, 10:44:52 rural hell is ironic ;)
it's ace here. i thought it'd do my head in but it's not too bad. i did get woken up by the sound of cows mooing at 5am this monring though Title: Re: rural hell Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, 10:48:06 Quote from: "mattboyslim" Quote from: "Reg Smeeton" Quote from: "sonic youth" the view from my house. it's terrible! http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~jpwalsh/house/ so far i've seen rabbits, deer, foxes, pigeons, a cat and a kestrel. not all at once. 8) You get most of those things in Town now anyway..... I think the worst thing is living in the suburbs.....whereby you don't really get the peace, and don't have too many facilities on the doorstep. I also have my doubts about places like Bassett and Highworth.....OK if you've got a really nice gaffe perhaps, but if its just your regular Bloor home.....what's the point? Title: rural hell Post by: jayohaitchenn on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, 11:20:27 A bird of prey (not sure what) killed and ate a pigeon in my back garden in the town centre.
