They were on sale yesterday (but don't know if it was only for season ticket holders) . The ticket people are having difficulty understanding the difference between "Charlton", and "Cheltenham", so I advise you to be very specific !

It was only when they asked for £18 that I realised they'd misheard me and in fact that I wanted a Cup ticket.

£18 for adults at Cheltenham - a bit steep for a club with very few supporters anyway.
According to the Cheltenham website we have behind the goal and a section of the stand on the side, so I would guess about 2000 in total(?).

Yeah its ST holders only first until next Monday according to chap in office this morning.

£7 each return - cheap singles were wrong times.

On a serious note, I think Im going to make a Monopoly board style pub crawl for this, theres tonnes of local pubs hidden that do local beers/ciders etc. I'll be lucky to make it to the game!

Sounds about right, I don't think we'll get 2000 somehow, the end behind the goal is tiny, and the stand along the side isn't much bigger!

You will all be able to sit/stand together. Wont make any difference people go where they want anyway to watch the game.

I know someone who lives next to the train station.  Quietly does it, no colours and pretence of seeing him then, if they do indeed go that route, although they are not known for it are they?

Anyone know of decent meeting pub pre match?    I've only been to Whaddon Road the once in recent years, and what with an evening KO didn't have time for watering.

The Hereford game was a bit of a one off though due to the previous problems.  They enforced a police escort for the 2 mini buses as well, followed by full searches of everyone on board including the possibility we'd stuffed some drugs up our rear ends :shock:

that was a joke, full search at the train station and that stupid escort on the way back to the station as well as being held there for ages, as you say I don't think it will happen for Cheltenham

Doubt there will be an escort at all as the rivalry isn't great at all. I do know that Cheltenham hate us a lot more than we hate them so i don't know if they have any firms that the police are aware of at all. If they do then an escort might be the case but arriving in Cheltenham at 11:11 the chances of an escort are probably very slim.

If no one's comfortable going there, there's plenty of other pubs to choose from between the station and the ground. The police may even be planning some sort of escort to a specific boozer anyway.  I know they have done that in the past with other large away followings.

Like I put in my original post, the details I've been given are a bit sketchy anyway, so I'd call first to check what the pub have got planned before 500 Swindon fans turn up!!  :soapy tit wank:

The ground is pretty central and unless you know the free parking side streets then park and ride is the best option.  Its quicker if from the 417 you do a stint on the M5 as brings you out right by Park and Ride and its v cheap.

I always used Arle court as easier to get back onto the Motorway and out of Chelt without hitting too much traffic.

So if I park at the Arle Court park and Ride and get the bus into the centre, is the ground easy to find?

I couldn't be bothered to type out myself but that basically is accurate enough.

The promenade is a one way road and has shops such as Jigsaw, Habitat, Gap, Waterstones on it.  You can't really miss it.
