They can have problems with the sound being out of sync with the picture and screen burn.
Infact the advice they gave was until plasma technology is a bit more reliable (and cheaper) then the best thing to buy is a top of the range widescreen old style cathode ray, which is still cheaper than a cheap plasma but far superior in picture/sound quality(although a bit bulkier).
