Unless they prepare us Halal style. In seriousness though it’s a cracking idea so it’s a yes. Title: Presumed concent for Organ Donations... Post by: ronnie21 on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, 18:06:33 A bit of an emotive subject, I carry a donor card and don't have a problem with it, my wife doesn't have a card and does have a problem with it!! However, as I tell her many times, if you are going to be burned up at the end of your life and a close relative could be helped by using one of your organs what would you choose then? :?
Title: Presumed concent for Organ Donations... Post by: flammableBen on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, 18:10:05 I really like the idea of bits of me living on in other people if something bad happened to me. Not sure my Organs are in great shape so can't really imagine who'd want them.

When my cousin was killed aged 20, he was a registered donor and he saved other peoples lives. All of whom are still alive and living a normal life.

Post by: mattboyslim on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, 11:36:35 Yes from me, I don't have a donor card, but my folks are pro-donation, so would definately consent. I can't give blood for ages now because I have been to tropical places and had all sorts of vaccines, I hate needles though so its actually good from my perspective - once I'm clear to do it I'm gonna make the effort though.

Maybe a slightly dead arm afterwards - although probably not. Plus, you get free tea and biscuits and a warm glow of doing the right thing. |
