Title: Weekend Break Post by: axs on Friday, July 6, 2007, 21:49:13 right: i'm looking for a hotel in the country for next weekend for me and the missus for our anniversary, just want somewhere nice for 2 nights that has a good restaurant nearby and nice rooms. anywhere in the south east quarter of england will do.
anyone got any suggestions / experiences that would be helpful? i've tried all manner of websites and i'm none the wiser. Title: Weekend Break Post by: pumbaa on Friday, July 6, 2007, 21:55:47 Used this website to find a lovely b&b near Wareham a few weeks back.
http://www.bedandbreakfastnationwide.com/bbnHome.cfm Depends on how much you want to spend though. Title: Weekend Break Post by: axs on Friday, July 6, 2007, 21:57:29 up to 250 for hotel for 2 nights, want somewhere nice, i'm sick of slumming it like we normally do! last time we went away i spent £26 for a double room and it was shit. (unsurprisingly)

(more of a b&b than a hotel mind) £30pp per night and 10 mins walking distance from Bournemouth town centre bars, restaurants etc.. Monkey World is cool, and only about 5 miles out of town. Title: Weekend Break Post by: Luci on Saturday, July 7, 2007, 08:13:22 I know its not SE but Devon or Cornwall perhaps?
Loads of nice hotels there? Title: Weekend Break Post by: dell boy on Saturday, July 7, 2007, 08:21:01 Norwich is the IN place to be at the moment in the east of England.
Good accommodation to be found at very reasonable prices, and some great nightlife. A little further south you could have a great weekend in Canterbury, accommodation quite expensive, but beautiful area and some fine restaurants and bars.
