Smithy was brilliant today and Parkin apart has been our best player this season-I hope he keeps his head up,It was a better pen in a way than Parkin's last week, just a brilliant save.

Can I just say this...

Everyone in that stadium knew that grant Smith was going to the keepers left. The body language, the looks, the run up all said it.

The best thing about that is that the kid has 'Smith' on his back !!!  :soapy tit wank:

Always gets me when you hear stuff before the penalty like 'C'mon Bri', 'C'mon Smithy', 'Go on Brian', like the guy is their best mate. Then the keeper makes a great save and its 'You F*ckin C*nt !'

Don't get me wrong, I'm as disappointed as the next man. I just find human nature amuzing.

The score board actually said Franchise 1 Swindon 2, before Smithy took the kick. I reckon they jinxed him.

What a load of bollocks - we're still in with a shout.  Never say never till it's fucking mathematically impossible, we're going to Cardiff.

Today could really kill us. We're fucked if 2 (or all 3) from hartlepool, bournemouth and brentford pick up wins.

Franchise's unbeaten run is now up to 10 games. They are without doubt a good side now and Bournemouth have lost three home games in a row.

Shame we didn't score the penalty and really take advantage as that would've put us one point off the playoffs with the same number of games played.

Hartlepoo also only managed a draw with Blackpoo.

They look inconsistant of late so I say we have a sporting enough chance.  That's the baby which it will all come down to for me.  If anything it's a yard stick to see if we actually are good enough.

Good point Daz. Two very indifferent sides meet on Saturday, and we have to mkae sure we get 3 points. 1 won't do, we have to close the gap rather than worry about it not extending. If the chimp goes 4-5-1 then there's really no point in us even going up there.

They lost 1-0 at home to Huddersfield before so they're on a poor run imo.  Dave - 4-5-1 sorta works, but not when we're chasing a game.  A draw would be good enough at Hartlepool.

The point is that even when we go and play defensive with a 4-5-1 our back 4 are crap and we leak goals. So might as well attack.
