Title: BBC Wilts Site Claims Club Still in Talks with Investor
Post by: lambourn red on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, 09:47:25
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2007/07/03/stfc_030707_feature.shtml

Why can these idiots just not make a statement on the website to say they are still in talks, not saying anything is just make them look even more foolish than they already do.

I don't think they are in talks with anyone, i think that comment posted by 000 yesterday is true, especially when people on here and on thisis know the guy so it is unlikely to be crap.

Oh, another few days!  Strange given they had a statement lined up to be made on Monday.

It's time Bill issued the legal proceedings methinks, push the timescales forward a bit.

I don't like the board as much as the next STFC fan but take the blinkers off.

did he ask you to go for a beer?

this new investor story seems like a blatant stalling tactic to me. i'm not sure that the hrmc and local council will care either way

Very, obviously he's still a little bit bitter about the Bristol Rovers thing......maybe he should try doing his job instead of sending supporters sarcastic emails  :-))(

Obviously they weren't bullshitting this time.

Humble pie needs to be eaten by a few I think, including myself.

No need to eat humble pie yet Tails, let us wait and see what the real outcome is!!  If Diamandis and his cronies are still there do you think we will have come very far forward?  If they are gone, then perhaps it is the time for humble pie! :beers:

erm, not quite. it could still be nothing more than a stalling tactic and i will reserve judgment and my right to scepticism until something materialises apart from a statement on the official website - we all know how reliable those are, don't we?

I wouldn't be so sure, let's just wait and see shall we?

Don't get too easily taken in.

I'm not.

But if the board have pulled this off, fair play to them.

I'll only believe it when they are named, the value of the investment, and the plans for dealing with the CVA and transfer fund for Paul is understood in their fullest.

Boardroon restructure ?       meh !

We will see

It's still all speculation to me !

To be fair I wouldnt expect any new board to announce Sturrocks trasnfer budget.

That would only manage to achieve the "chelsea effect" whereby prices of players we wanted increased by 30 - 50 %
