Title: Weston
Post by: Crozzer on Saturday, June 16, 2007, 15:55:07
Does he want his contract canceled by mutual consent?

If Easton and Weston were in the same side, with Easton on the left and Weston on the right, would that mean that the defense had gone south?.

Not a Sturrock player obviously.  Too much 'tippy tappy' some would say.

The fact that in his own words league two teams have come in for him shows where his level is.

To fancy dan imo full of running with no end product

Curtis is a just another young fella who thinks he';s made it because he's a pro footballer.  If the bloke acted in a moree professional way maybe PS would be willing to give him a go.  As it is it seems CW seems to prefer concentrating on scoring off the pitch than on it.

Good player, shame he's off. But saying that, our midfield got us promoted last year so we didn't exactly miss him when he was out of the team.

He was quite obviously the player who infuriated Sturrock by refusing to listen to his instructions (remmember the dont play a first time pass interview?).

Sturrock isnt going to put up with a 19 year old who thinks he knows it all. Arrogance personified.

Sturrock even gave him a second chance, he started at Barnet. And he was subsitituted and Swindon were rubbish. His career at STFC was over from that moment.

He might well make it, but he probably wont, because he's not got the attitude. My heart bleeds that he cant get decent money because Town havent officially released him. Tough shit.

I'd keep him and play him, then the Cock can go up front where he should be

He never stood a chance under Sturrock because he is the total opposite of what he wants in a central midfielder.  I think he'll mature into a decent Championship level player eventually, but it would be pointless wasting time here for both us and him when Sturrock is the manager.

I agree, but he is a forward and given our lack in this area should be played in his nautral position

No, I don't think so, the guy was told he wasn't wanted and was FREE to join another club.  Sturrock just wants him off the wage bill, if we wanted a fee we would put him on the transfer list.  Now he's been officially released we won't be paying after 1st July.  The guy has talent but something seriously wrong somewhere, he has now been shown the door at two clubs, are they both wrong?

He has so much talent its scary he has been let go.  I can see it coming back and biting us.  Poor man management him being released is what I blame it on

I disagree. If he's got the wrong attitude and doesn't want to play the way Sturrock wants him to then good bye and good luck. Chance of a "it don't matter 'cos my mate wisey will come and get me" attitude? Maybe. Will Wise sign him? Who knows.

He has a huge attitude problem.

To be fair, I rate Sturrock as a manger. He's been there and done it. I'd trust his judgement more than my own.

i just think weston is too lightweight, with no end product.

he may well end up being a good player but we can't afford any passengers in our squad (which at this rate i may well end up in if i can find my boots).

Barnet away for me was the last straw, a dreadful, dreadful performance and didn't give a fuck either.

Shame in a way because he was a talented lad but I always thought he was living on past reputation.

If you are going on the Barnet game, you could get rid of most of the squad. Worst game of last season for me by a mile.

Should have been Browns last straw too but he carried on playing.

The guy has a problem, two clubs have already found this out and moved him on - man management never sorted out a certain Mr Beauchamp.
